USING RHINESTONE AND PEARL SHAPES

1. The hearts are great to sprinkle on female
cards and the tiny stars are great on the men's, ( i find you can get
away with a star for a man where you couldn't use much else). The heart
stones are great for anniversary or wedding cards. I have also used them
for flower petals too, they are so cute.
2. The teardrop shaped stones are great for
butterfly wings, but I don't have as many of them, so I use the round
ones if I know I have a lot to do, they are nearly as good. They also
make absolutely beautiful 4, 5, 6 petaled tiny flowers with a tiny round
stone centre,( using them point to middle or blunt end to middle changes
the flower shape).
3. I use the oval stones on my teddy bears noses
for my baby cards( the sizzix embossed teddy is what I use). The larger
round ones are great for the eyes. I also use a small padded teddy on
my cards and I use the tiniest round stone for the eyes and I put a tiny
heart stone on the chest or now I have them a rhinestone bow at the
neck.
4. The round stones are great for fans of
diminishing sizes, either single line or a few lines, like a burst from
a champagne bottle, they add a wow factor to cards. Try using the
teardrop stones to do this as well, they look fabulous. Also for flower
centers, or 4, 5, 6 grouped makes a nice flower.
5. The oval shaped stones of all kinds are good
for studding on a lace border and give a really pretty touch, (very
feminine). The darker colours are good for studding on men's cards. As
long as you use the dark colours, men's cards are not a problem.
6. The new tiny puff bows I am going to use to
decorate teddies ( all over) for baby cards or any thing that needs a
"cute" feel to it. Putting them on hats or shoes comes to mind, no
doubt there will be a lot more uses for these as I get to work
formulating new cards!!.
I hope I have helped a little, if you need any
more info please do ask.
I am always looking for different things and I
would like to try your puff hearts and your hollow iridescent hearts, I
just cant get everything I would like all the time!! And do you have
any flat backed tiny pearls??
The glue I use on these stones is a very thick
designer called ALEENE'S, . I have just looked and it is a USA
product, so no problem there.
